POSITION
Summary:
The Healthcare Risk Manager will implement and develop quality initiatives and risk management.
Monitor patient progress and risk during treatment.
Perform reviews and audits for the management of risk in the health care setting.
Essential Functions:
To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Assist nurse management with daily facility compliance rounds Monitor grievances/complaints on patient care and service issues and assess whether there has been a successful resolution Monitor admission and readmission charts for weekly weights Review monthly weight reports for significant weight losses and proper interventions Evaluate the process of documenting meal and supplement consumption and weighing process Audit physician orders to ensure compliance with medication Ensure that follow-up with the physician and the family accomplished as appropriate Audit Pressure Ulcer Risk Assessment forms on admission and readmission charts for appropriate preventative measures Audit Fall Risk Assessments forms on admission and readmission charts for appropriate preventative measures Monitor Fall Tracking Report for patients who have repeat occurrences Assess inside and outside safety concerns for residents Assist Nurse Management with monthly in-services as needed Required Work
Experience:
One (1) year experience in a long-term healthcare facility.
Licensing/Certification/Education Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited school with a Registered or Licensed Practical Nursing Degree.
Current State of Tennessee Registered or Licensed Practical Nursing degree.
Other Requirements:
Position may require unscheduled overtime, week-end work Must be willing and able to work flexible hours Travel and taking call required Physical Requirements:
